Der Stuhl ist ein Gebrauchsgegenstand der in Variationen in fast allen Kulturen Verwendung findet. Gleichzeitig ist er auch Symbol des Menschen, der sesshaft wurde, im Gegensatz zu der ursprünglich nomadisierenden Bevölkerung. Ebenso wie vieles, das uns ständig
und nahezu unbemerkt im alltäglichen Leben umgibt, stellt auch er inzwischen eine Norm dar.
In der mehrteiligen „Leibstuhl“ Serie fungiert er als Bildträger für eine überwuchernde Fotocollage die aus der Bilderflut von rohem Fleisch diverser Supermarkt Werbeaussendungen und Körperfragmenten aus Mode- und Pornomagazinen gerissenen wurde.

The chair is a commodity that can be found in different variations in almost all of the world’s cultures.. At the same time, it is symbolic of a settled man – as opposed to the originally nomadic population. Like many of the objects that make up a constant and almost unnoticed surrounding of our everyday lives, the chair has become a standard.
In the “ Leibstuhl“ series, the chair acts as a supportive structure, carrying a flood of cuts-outs of raw meat from the supermarket promotional leaflets and body parts from the fashion and porn magazines that form the new surface of the chair.
