In meinen Projekten arbeite ich oft mit der Informations- und Bilderflut der Massenmedien.
Für diese Serie verwende ich ganze Zeitschriften und Werbeaussendungen als Objekte. Dabei lösche ich wesentliche Teile des Sujets mit einem Radiergummi um Einfachheit und Leerstellen wieder Raum zu geben.

Dieser meditative Prozess resultiert in einer Art Collage, aber anstatt zusätzliche Elemente hinzuzufügen arbeite ich die im Bild verbliebenen Information und versteckten Details heraus um eine neue Geschichte aus ihren inzwischen isolierten Segmenten zu schaffen.
Die gelöschten Bereiche sind in diesem Fall ein wesentlicher Teil der Erzählung: Was fehlt ist oft wichtiger als das, was übrig bleibt.

In my projects I often work with the information and image flood from the mass media.
For this series I use magazines in their entirety, as an object, and go on to erase essential parts of the image, giving back the simplicity and negative space to the page.

This meditative process results in a kind of collage, however instead of adding additional elements I work with the visual information left in the image, bringing out the hidden details and creating narratives from its isolated segments. The erased spaces are also an essential part of the narrative: what is absent is often more important than what is left.
